Our Troop is headed for Summer Camp!

In a long standing tradition, Troop 387 will be sending a group of Scouts and Scouters to Camp Frank Rand in beautiful Northern New Mexico.  The Troop will continue the tradition of having a picnic as part of the annual send off to New Mexico. The picnic will be at the Scout yard at Martin Methodist on July 12, 2008.  The picnic will begin at 6:00 p.m. and all Scouts and parents are invited even if your boys are not attending camp.  The Troop will provide hamburgers and hot dogs and all of the fixing’s.  Each family is also encouraged to bring your favorite side dish or dessert.

First Year Camper Program

Our 1st year Scouts will be part of the Baden-Powell Brigade. As part of the Brigade, the Scouts will be fulfilling requirements needed for Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class advancement.  While rank advancement is the focus, B- P Scouts should have time to work on one or two merit badges of their choice – see below.
